Lets get serious, loosing your pictures. I'm not talking about the hardware. Laptop and camera are insured and can be replaced. I'm talking about all the pictures you take on such a long trip.

Gear - Flipflops

Nothing feels more like holiday than walking in flip flops. Some people choose to wear trekking sandals, something we can't abide ourselves to (too geeky and ugly imho).

My pair of flip flops just barely made it into Brazil after being with me around half the world.
Here in the home of the Havaianas I got the same model for less than a quarter of the price back home in Switzerland.

Our duffel bags have been with us through south-east Asia before joining us on this big trip. We love them, although they are not without flaws.
