hav hiking (06.06.2014 - 08.06.2014)

When Alex aka hav turned thirty we thought some exercise would do him good and promised to take him hiking. But because everybody was always busy (some even away for a year, hehe) it took us four years to assemble the group, find a hiking route and a date.

So it came that Alex, Fabienne, Aed, Rainer, Melanie and I drove to the Wallis. We slept in Ausserberg and left early(ish) the next morning. To reach the Wiwanni cabin we had to climb 1400 meters of altitude. Of course we opted for the longer route and turned down the shuttle service to skip the first two hours. About in the middle of the way we stopped to have some local sausage and wine. Both didn't help for the later part ;)
Once we reached the cabin at 2470 meters above sea we had to drink some more wine to celebrate. ;)
At the cabin they served us a big and tasty dinner. All this hiking, eating and drinking made us tired and we went to bed early for a good night's sleep. The next morning, after a snore-full night and a healthy breakfast, we started the descent. Passing by Raaft we ended up where we started the day before.
To get back home we chose a different route and drove over the Furka mountain pass.

All the thanks goes to Melanie who organised everything: wine, snacks, hiking route and cabin!
