Next trip: Uzbekistan!

Barely back home I'm getting ready for the next trip, to Uzbekistan! I have to rewind a bit to explain this special destination...

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away Genti and I discovered the Mongol Rally. A ridiculous rally from London to Ulan Bator in a 1000cc engine car. Back then we both were good citizens and employees so couldn't join this adventure. Later on The Adventurist, the guys behind the Mongol  Rally, started other shorter rallies as well. So we ended up partaking in the Rickshaw Run, a three wheeled madness from Kathmandu in Nepal to the south of India in Pondicherry. But nevertheless we both hadn't forgotten the original idea...

So when Genti told me he would drive to Uzbekistan this summer I was in on it immediately! Usbekistan was chosen because he and Winston will tackle the Mototaxi Junket in Peru in October. This being another mad rally by the Adventurist dudes, this time by three wheeled sofa bike! So we have to be back in Switzerland by end of September.

To put ourself a bit under pressure (and get some cheap deals) we already have our flights back home from Urgench! Just have to make sure we get there... ;)

Of course we could have opted for the save and easy way by buying a Toyota Hilux, Range Rover or Land Rover Defender. But to keep the costs low and the fun high we opted for a car for less than 1000 swiss francs from the local auction platform. ;)
